Yep. Very sad to hear it - especially after a bunch of us had just raced with him in Canada a couple months ago. His family had been a part of the local NW Mini racing scene for a number of years. I feel compelled to note that as without that scene, our genre of racing might not have developed as quickly as it did. While I didn't know the kid personally, it's still kind of close to home. i was at the last 2 USGPRU at Thunder Hill in Nor Cal, and PIR In Portland. i am really bummed i wont be running into him at future events. i have shared the track with him at speed, he was no joke, too young or not....
Sorrow is not justified for those that we revere. As a parent myself, i understand the depth.
As a Sap, i do not. My heart goes out to the families of both parties involved in this tragic accident.
