Anyone feel like having an off season get together in Seattle? I was thinking we could get together for drinks the night before then hit the track @ PGP for one of their winter races?
Think of it as an end of season/Christmas or new year party with racing! The Dec. Date is the 19th and the Jan date is the 16th.
Cheers,
Dayn

hey Patrick and Drat should race this series as PGP is using their picture on the poster for the series or at lease show up for the first race.

Yeah I saw that. Pretty cool that scooters are so high profile!

I'm definitely in for some winter racing at PGP. And it wouldn't be racing if I didn't have drinks the night before. Might even go down for the first one if the weather is ok.
Drat, I'm not sure if there is a class for mountainbikes w/ two stroke engines bolted on, but we could make one. What's the other surprize? You retiring the Ducati to the small tracks?

the Duc : my plan when i sold my 999 and bought the 999R in 07 was to race it 2 years and then upgrade. in the motorcycle world every 2 years ( for the most part) is a complete overhaul on new models. and usuallly its big.. like they loose a lot of weight, get more power and what not.. so its hard to stay competitive when all your fellow racers are getting the newest best stuff every year or 2... however even though the new 1098 and 1198 had 10 to 30 more horse than me i stayed competitive, and came within a few tenths of breaking the track record for Twins on my now 5 year old bike.
now 3 years in on the 999R.. the bike and i are still competitive in the twins class and i won both championships for heavy weight Twins this year, i would race it next year but the grids have dwindled as all the Ducatis blew up around me... and then my motor popped this year too... that was a spendy rebuild.. turns out titanium motor parts are... ummmm... really F'ing expensive...
unless i get sponsored on a bike.. no big tracks for me next year. I will try to still instruct Novice racers for OMRRA and try to break the twins record in july or August when the weather is right for laying the smack down..., but mostly the Duc is gonna be a street bike now.
gonna wait one year and see what comes out this year and get me a new hotrod.. i am leaning toward the Aprillia RSVR V4, but i may go Jap, depending on what comes out. even the new kawasaki looks amazing.. i predict full traction control and abs for most major brands in the next 2 years.
and actually Aprilla have a new 125 4 stroke sport bike that i might pick up for my wife..
so yeah.. i hope to ride 3 classes on 3 different scoots next year. and if any one wants to sponsor me on a moped i'll ride that too!
