So what is happening with this? Brian did you hear back? Is everything confirmed? This is a little too last minute for my liking. I'm going to propose that is is a non official (read no pionts) event if we do not have confirmation TODAY!

Yes Jason i go to all the cup races! It would be great to see you dude!! Dayn The race has has been up on the Facebook page since the 6th. And it's been confirmed, Brian did that to my knowledge some time ago. No one is gonna work with us if we get a rep for jerking people around. Ya feel me?
See ya guys at PGP day after tomorrow!!

Well Drat I'm sure you can understand that this is all a bit last minute. To my knowledge we have no idea what classes are going to be run. Last I heard on FB was that we "should" get 2 classes. So can someone tell me which 2 classes are going to get to run?
Given that we are doing a "cup" race and we "should" have 2 races, that means that some people are going to get to race twice and others are only going to get to race once. Just like the first race where Auto's got to race twice.
So why should I spend my time and money going to a last minute unconfirmed event to watch other people get to race more than I do?

Thats why i dont have FB. I dont have my mind cluttered with rumor and gossip. Don't go and don't get any cup points. No sweat off my back. We have to be flexible when we piggyback. Nothing has changed. Think of it as PIR. You still get your class points even if we only run one race. But that's not gonna happen, everything is gonna be fine. Grow a set and come get your ass handed to you.

if the moped guys are not coming then the other class can make it what ever you guys want it to be. as for the first cup race issue of the autos getting 2 races, dont try to make it like it was our fault. I was just told what race heats I was racing in so did Drat or any of the auto guys that raced.

That is your choice Dayn, we will miss the hell out of you! But this is a cup race, as soon as Angus said and posted "this is the official event......"
there will be plenty of track time and racing at PGP, too bad you don't think it will be that way. Trying to change the dates or rules at the last moment, and in some cases after a race seems to be your MO, and usually it comes across as a benefit to you, even if that is not true, or if it is.... It is perceived that way and is a reality and that is not condusive to orginaizing a race series.
Missing one race isn't that big of a deal, with crashing and mechanicals others may have I am sure it will work out for you point wise. If it would of landed on any other weekend in July I was gonna miss it. And that would of been my choice, just like it's your choice to miss this. But at least you are making an informed decision as opposed to what almost happened to Brian and I in Canada.
We cannot however all agree to do the race, have it set up and then you declare it's not for points 2 days before. It makes you look really bad and the the tracks are not going to be cool with us being flakey. Well not if you want to keep the PSRA series alive anyway because we won't get track time in the future if we jack them around.
With that said, see those making it tomorrow! Gotta get back to tattooing and then I am leaving for Seattle after work.

I'm going to go ahead and say that 99% of the problems we are having regarding this race are my fault. I'm sorry that there has been such confusion and short notice. The problem was only compounded by my eagerness to make it happen rather than fairness for all who might be involved. I have also been trying to make things work for enticing new riders rather than being concerned about what our current riders are looking for. Furthermore, Brian may have verbally passed information to me which I didn't pass on via our forum and facebook page which may have made things way clearer for other organizers and racers alike.
Except for monetarily, I take full responsibility for screwing this up. I apologize and hope it doesn't have a negative effect on our organization. I am totally open to suggestions as to how I can make good or if you want me to.
At this point, although I don't have an accurate count of those who are planning on attending the July 16 race, it seams that there will be less than half of our regular Cup racers attending. I must side with Dayn and say that it doesn't seam fair to include this as a points race with regards to our Cup series.
As usual, this must be agreed upon by the majority of the PSRA administrators. If you have not voiced your opinion on this matter please do it now.

BTW, I'm totally pissed that this has come up three days before race day. I have gone out of my way to make it to this event including expediting (at big $) parts that I need and potentially racing injured. Unfortunately I only have myself to blame.

Hey Angus its not all your fault. it should have been confirmed first with the tracks to see if it was ok for us to have our races there before posting up the cup dates. Assuming that they will be ok with it is not the way to do things. By posting the dates up is telling everyone that those tracks have been contacted and confirmed. Also PGP is willing to let us have our cup event this weekend due to short notice. They really don't have to let us but they are due to sima not coming through. So we as PSRA members and racers should at least show up after asking them if it was ok for us to race there this weekend. Not doing so is only going to make PSRA look bad and the word will get out to other tracks and organizations I'm sure. So let's do good on our part to show up this weekend to prove that scooter racing is not a joke to these tracks and groups and that we are serious about it
