The venue for the kart race this Sunday was moved so not running at Monroe this weekend. I am talking again to them today to see if there is another day in the next two weeks that we can meet at the track to discuss options.
Seattle Kart Club that races at Monroe says we are good to go for racing with them for their Spring and Summer series. Problem is they had their planning meeting with the track yesterday and the only garunteed dates they have given the karts are Mondays. So their series is going to be 8 races on Mondays and the schedule will be finalized by next week. If there is enough interest for attending a couple of these, at least for local Seattle area folks that would be great.
On a more positive note, the kart race this Sunday is moved to Spanaway and the Seattle Kart Club is working with PSGKA to allow scooter racing at thier track. Hopefully there will be a YES from them in the next few weeks and that track can be in the mix.
Lastly, the kart club asked if there would be significant enough interest to get a decent number of scooters and mopeds out for a weekend at the track in Tri-cities. If yes they would like to work with PSRA to schedule an event to maximize attendance. They would be racing Rotax classes only at that event which would mean a lot of track time for PSRA members.
Even though Monroe is out this year as part of a cup or "regular" season, if anyone in the Seattle or farther out for that matter, is interested in Mondays at Monroe as practice/track days let me know. Their summer schedule is:
Race #1 April 16th Monday Night Race#2 May 7th Monday Night Race #3 May 14th Monday Night Race #4 June 4th Monday Night Race #5 July 16th Monday Night Race #6 July 23rd Monday Night Race #7 Sept. 17th Monday Night Race #8 Sept. 24th Monday Night
Track opens at 3pm for practice. Races start at 6:15pm
