In attempt to make racing more accessible to locals we are going to hit as many race days in Chilliwack as possible. I'm @ UBC and have a trailer with space for 3 additional bikes if people need a lift. We race with the PCMRC: www.miniracingbc.com/Fees are $70 CMA membership for the year & $80 for the day of racing. The ScheduleApril 29th - Rnd 1 May 27th - Rnd 2 June 17th - Rnd 3 July 15th - Rnd 4 August 4th and 5th - National Rnd 5 & 6 (We are not going to attend this event)August 26th - Rnd 7 September 23rd - Rnd 8 (PSRA West Coast Challenge Event)Post up any questions if you live in the Van. area and want more info. Cheers, Dayn

Can I come? ;D
Just kidding, of course I'll be there. I will have several bikes to bring out so if you are holding off because you think you will be outclassed then I can match whatever power bike you have to make it fair. I can also lend a bike to anyone who shows up with leathers. Let me know ahead of time.

Hi,
Is there anywhere I can find more info about the Racing season? Rules, classes, gear and such? I'm fairly certain i'm going to become involved pretty quick if at all possible. Is a Taiwanese 50cc 2t a viable choice for a machine?
Thanks! Chris

Hi Chris, For all the rules and such check out our website and specifically the FAQ page pacificscooterracing.com/faq/. Also, check out the PCMRC website and facebook page. We race with them here in Chilliwack at the Greg Moore Raceway. Most likely won't be any scooters going to the July 15 race day as we are going to race in Washington on the big track at the Ridge. Most likely shoot for the August date. Not sure about the Tiwanese bike but if you can get super-rad-over-the-top race parts for it (most likely similar to Japanese Minarelli) it will rock right out. Thanks Angus,
I nearly pulled the trigger on a Taiwanese 2t 50cc, but I couldn't get myself to do it having heard of the hit and miss quality. I'm trying to find a little Yamaha Jog 50 now. August will give me some time.
Thanks again! Chris

Oh, that's a good one. We have seen an incredibly fast Atlantis out with us in recent years.

Awesome! I just bought an '80 Vespa P200e today as well, but I doubt i'll race that one yet. Pretty pumped for August though; hopefully I can get the Derbi together in time.

hi rossco welcome! I have your same scooter so there s no problem. I want to go to practice before the day of the race because I never seen that track before, the first weekend that is not raining. I can tell you what you have to do and I can show you what you have to do to be ready for the race. it is a very fun hobby! Ciao
