I know there's only 3 riders on the board so far, but I'm curious how much did it cost y'all for the season (fees, expenses, travel, etc) separate from the bike?
We're tossing around the idea of fielding a team out of Seattle with each of us splitting the costs, depending on what they are and how much.
Thanks!

Hey J,
I'm not exactly the best example as I'm not much of a camper and I live pretty far from Portland but here is a rough breakdown.
The fees generally work out like this:
1 full day of practice + 1 full day of racing (unlimited number of classes) = $90
Camping (available at all the tracks) $10 to $15 per night. Staying at a locals ~ free
~ 2 gallons of gas for the bike AV gas @ 100 octane ran me $3.85/gal
Food & beer for the weekend $50 .... twice that in Canada (beer is expensive here).
We race 6 times a year and the travel expenses will vary depending how far you have to travel. I typically got away with 2 tanks of gas traveling from Vancouver Canada to Portland and back.
You can easily get away with $200 for the weekend or less.
For racing anything with a motor this is really pretty cheap, also the more people that come out the cheaper it is.
Thanks for posting a question. I hope his answer helps. Please feel free to post more questions or ask for further clarification if required. Anything I can do to help more people participate I will.
Cheers,
Dayn
