So the Hive wants to know how they can help. There is an offer to sell one item in bulk that we all want/need at a deep discount. Tires come to mind but is there anything else we would rather get? tubeless rims maybe? Also who would be interested?
Post it up here Vancoverites! (and surrounding area)

Yeah, tires would be great. Never used tubeless rims before. Are they hard to mount (I mean the tire on the rim)? TT92's would be great because they are so expensive. I'm really eager to try this Maxxis, all the reviews say they are as good as the TT's and at half the price. If we could get the Maxxis tires even cheaper than that it would make sense to buy several sets to have on hand.
Cheapest I've found TT's - $80 per Cheapest I've found Maxxis - $45 per

I actually ordered one (Maxxis 6114 Race) from JPcycles and they can't get them till April sometime. The $45 i was talking about is the delivered price. No need to sugar coat it. For us Canadians everything has a higher shipping cost. Any website that says free shipping isn't talking about Canada. Fuckers! Anyway, I did buy one from Motorsport Scooters (only one in stock) and it was $45 plus shipping. It's almost identical in tread and feel to the TT92's. I've read some reviews that say they are the same in performance.

Hey guys. I'm posting here cuz it's the closest to this topic but has nothing to do with the Hive. Too bad about the Hive by the way, my heart goes out to Christian.
Anyway, we were talking about the Maxxis tires in this thread. I was able to buy one from Scooterwest but now they are out. I've been trying to source them from anywhere and to no luck. I just got off the phone with Maxxis Tires International and the final word is that they are discontinued. Bummer. Any other suggestions for a cheaper alternative to the TT92's?

dudes............... i talked to my connects at Dunlop, meaning Barry at KFG..he is a distributor in Seattle willing to bring in 92s and 91s for the northwest for all of us.. meaing the same if not better prices, and no to little shipping since he is local....... i gotta get exact numbers.. but i am hoping we can get them at racer prices, certainly cheaper than ordering them from the UK at a marginal discount, and get them to do to contingency (next year) like bridgestone is for mini moto.. tire money is good money..
i need feed back on interest. if we have enough people racing them, they will support us no problem. They will stock stuff and i am sure give us as much technical support as they can.
i race a lot of tires.. i got to tell ya guys.. even on the scooters.. these tires are amazing. they really do have the best out there. These things go in seasons... and Dunlop has owned bikes for a very long time... they are worth it.
any takers??

I am in. I am sure patrick will chime in, but you should clarify that these are the same ones he is getting from the UK. the ones they have here stateside are supposedly different.. different compound and not as sticky.
