Race 2 of our Cascadia Cup series. Portland International Raceway. This is the one full size track in our itinerary for the season. A good friend of ours got a few pics from the event: www.flickr.com/photos/filmtwit/sets/72157624613732011/The weather was perfect. Track fees were Mind boggling cheap. $25 after the $10 gate fee = $35 for my whole day. 2500+ spectators. We got to practice with the CB160/250 Vintage Motorcycle groups in the morning. Drat's onboard captured the heat race: Angus' helmet cam got the main race that afternoon. Here come some pics... Pits in the morning... ...And because what's a race day without a little bit of carnage:

Yeah, the morning practice was a bit of an eye opener... In a good way I think. I hope it opens the door for us to more of their events on the larger scale tracks. They have nation wide participation. What if we could piggyback onto more of their events with our own stuff? I want mooooore!

Yes please, I'd like some more too...
Do they race CB160's every month? What about Seattle?

usually on track days or school days there is no type of racing. we would have to try and got in on a race day event. I'm not sure if there is a vintage class for the wmrra guys. pacific raceways would be a good track to race on. great elevation change and a nice carousel turn down hill at turns 3,4 and 5. i will try and find out if they have a vintage class and see if we can piggy back with them.

Hey guys, I was checking out the WMRRA that races on the large track at Pacific Raceways. They have a Vintage 160/250 class, same as we were practicing with at PIR. Sure would be fun to have a race day on the big track there. Just finished swapping my 175 engine back into my race bike for the small track. Might have to find a quicker way of switching engines if we're going to spend more time on big tracks. And I'm ok with that.
