Hey have you guys thought about piggy backing on the BUB event? Their ‘Run Wat-cha Brung’ fees seem reasonable...

Not sure what the BUB event is. As for races at MAC for last meet of the year, I was thinking of something like this...
If we only get one race (hopefully we get more than one but just bear with me here) then it will be all scooter classes. We will score the open points from this race and whatever class you are riding.
If we get two races, being that the first race of the year we raced the open together with shifters and autos separately, it would only be fair to race the open together with autos and the shifters separately.
If we get three races, we should run shifters, open, and autos.
If we get four races we should run under190, over 190, open, and autos.
Not sure If the moped guys are coming but if so we need to include them in there somewhere.
This is only a suggestion. Anyone with other suggestions please post.

Sorry BUB is land speed racing. I noticed that the previous post from scootermeister mentioned the Motor Scooter Land Speed Fed. though they don't have a land speed race scheduled for 2012....
Anyway Breaking out the over and under 190 may be slightly problematic for scoring purposes but if it can be done I'm for it.

If we have 3 bikes for each class, they generally make the time for each class. Especially as local numbers with the OSB have been kinda low this year as well. Could be a scooter heavy race weekend at MAC. I'm under the impression the mopeds are coming as well!

Sorry, this was probably the wrong place to post about scoring and classes but WTF.
Anyway, I think you know where I was going with this. Want to make track time fair for all.
Good to hear the Mopeds will be there, don't get to see enough of those guys. Maybe I will bring the JAWA too!

Speaking of Auto's, here's an update on the Derbi...
Obviously my relationship with the Derbi got off to a rocky start. I brought it to the track and it performed like a sack of potatoes. Then I tried to bring it to Canada with registration only to be told it was banned from entering the country. So it stayed in Brads garage for the last year and a half.
I recently smuggled it into Canada so now I have a sack of potatoes with no registration.
Here's were things turn around. I dropped the engine and started to clean all the dirt and oil off, which reminded me of my other scoot with dirt and oil from a blown seal. Sure enough i checked the fly side seal and it was totally gone. I bought one from a local seal supply for $2.50. I finished cleaning up the engine and carb, tuned the cylinder a little, and fired it up. It sounds rad and is kickin' out the HP.
Not that i need another race bike but what else am i supposed to do with this thing. So I guess I will have a liquid cooled racer for next year. I'm actually excited about this project as this thing has rad rubber, dual disk brakes, killer suspension, oh yah and it's liquid cooled! Time to pull out the grinder and welder again...

Uh wow! Nice work. It actually looks like a road racer instead of a cross between a dirt bike and a shopping bike like many auto's do ;D Do you have an endless supply of 1/4" diamond plate?
BTW what was that on CL?

That Derbi on CL is the same thing. 2002 LC Predator. It's the same guy I have bought a couple of bikes off. He has an ICBC contact and gets stolen/damaged bikes for next to nothing. I might trade the JAWA for it.
Anyone want a Derbi LC Pred for cheap?
