Our man Chester has his hands full & could use some help: www.supermotojunkie.com/showthread.php?122482-Who-will-be-in-charge-of-OSB-for-the-2012-season - Hello everyone. While the last few years of 'being in charge' of Oregon Superbikers has been fun, I now need to pass the torch to a new leader. Between finishing an Engineering Degree, working full time, trying to have some kind of social life and starting a new business, I have run out of time to be involved with OSB. So, who wants to take things over? I'm happy to help with the transition and give all the advice and ideas I can give to the new OSB Captain but I will not be apart of any operations next year. Again, I'll get you all set up with Portland Karting and Pat's Acres, dirt section things and how things have been running the last few years but as for next year all I want to do is show up and race. I want no more involvement other than showing up and being a racer. Please feel free to email or call me if you are interested. Thanks. -Chester 503.4o7.31two4 Chester(dot)Lindgren (at) gmail.com P.S. Here is a link to my new business project: www.kickstarter.com/projects/...ch-print-sharespeedmotoco.com/

Sounds like J. Burgess has stepped up to lend a hand with the task of organization. More info if you follow the link.

I have been in contact with John Burgess, He is indeed in the midst of getting us some dates lined up at mac track for the oregon superbikers/ mini racing. Not really sure what is going to go on with Pats as far as scheduling goes. I have volunteered to head up promoting the local racing via the OSB website and facebook page for OSB. At this point he is not getting much (if any) input from anyone on the Supermoto junkie site, or on the Oregon Superbikers forum.
There is a meeting this weekend to lay down some dates, and I am going to do my best to be there. It would be awesome if those of you who want to race locally next year would go to the site and let them know you are planning to show up and race this year. It looks like Mopeds and Scooters will pretty much carry the racing and keep it alive, but we need to generate some interest early to keep the track available to us and have them take us seriously. please take a minute to login and show some support to John.

Info on OSB organizing here www.supermotojunkie.com/forumdisplay.php?65-Supermoto-in-OregonBasically Pat's is out due to not enough attendance last year. So it will be Mac at least 5 times. Sunday race cost went up to $90, but $20 off if you are a PKA member. No dates announced yet but forthcoming. I'd like to see some serious racing this year with some big numbers. I know a rough count of how many mopeds are coming out and it's quite a few. At this point the moped riders are just going to do the races at Mac and plan on that. Do PIR if that's where that goes. I'm more concerned about getting numbers up and focusing on good racing and not being spread so thin for what is already a small number of riders.
