Just a few questions on class rules for the Super Stock class. I will be running a Stella with a 226 Hot Wing and SIP suspension but wondering if the following are allowed:
1. GGR Hot Reed Set-up (including removing the bar in the reed block) 2. Upgraded Caliper & Master Cylinder (caliper would be specific "off the shelf" part for scooter) 3. Levers? 4. Tubeless Wheels (already on the bike but can take them off if need be)
Last, has anyone heard anything about the new Michelin Power Pure for scooters? My reps have been hyping it but not supposed to be "announced" until next month.
We have another order going to SIP on the 20th so let me know if anyone needs anything.

For the most part, those sound like upgrades that fit within the confines of the rules as they sit. The only one I can see anyone having issue with might be the reeds. I'm not 100% on that, though. I'll let someone else chime in if it's a problem...? I know that we did agree as a group that upgrading brakes & suspension (as long as they were manufactured specifically to fit that bike) were actually a good idea in terms of rider safety. Somewhere in there we decided that proper tuned exhaust pipes weren't a bad idea either.

Garrett,
Can you expand on your intake system? For stock class I believe the rules state that the stock size carb must be used. No mention of intake modification so this may be ruled on. Is it a Stella with stock reed induction?
All the other mods seem appropriate and permissible.

Yes its the stock reed system for the Stella. It has a small cross bar across the intace portion of the reed block. Supposed to support the thin metal stock reeds. When using a single carbon reed it isn't needed and only serves to restrict flow. Would still be using the same stock carb.

I would think that removing the reed gaurds would be ok. I also believe that using a P200 or T5 carb would be ok too, as they are the same family of machines.
