Looks like the June date would be the 14-16 in Redding, CA that's a hike for sure. The track looks nice though: shastakartclub.com/The kicker is that I have a trip planned for that weekend and can't make it so I'd like to get a realistic idea of peoples appetite for this race before we commit to it. So what do people think? Is this a stretch? Another option would be to do Portland in June and do an October race in California but we don't know where that race will be yet.... |

I could do Portland in June, but not California. I will be missing the July race since I will be in the UK. October in California could work however.

That sounds like a good idea. There is no October race in Portland so let's do June 8th & 9th at MACK and leave October in CA as a maybe. That brings us up to 5 PSRA races this season with a potential for 6 if the Oct. date happens. The only month we are missing is August which we could do at Mack again on the 3rd and 4th. That might not be a bad idea?

Another option would be to do Vancouver/Chilliwack in August. TBH I can't make the August date in either place (Same date BTW). I suppose that having 2 races in P-townish area gives them an advantage...but then technically Seattle would have the bigger advantage.
I think we should definately do June in the Portland area @ MACK. I'm all for more racing so if people want to do an August date that's great too but I can't make it.

4x The RIDGE! Crazy huge highspeed track!
Its a lot of travelling for sure but worth it!
I would also like it more spread out evenly! But as Andrea - I'm new here and will join wherever I can!
Watch out for the Lambretta guys! ;-)

This just in from John Burgess at Oregon superbikers, official Mac track scheduled races.
These are the dates of the local mini/sumo club.
All races at Mac track:
Race 1 March 9-10
Race 2 April 6-7
Race 3 May 4-5
Race 4 June 8-9
Race 5 June 22-23
Race 6 August 17-18
Race 7 August 31-Sep 1
Race 8 October 19-20

I guess we should finalize the schedule and post it up so here is what we have:
The following dates at the Ridge:
Sunday April 28th
Sunday May 26th
Sunday July 14th
Sunday Septemeber 1st
That leaves June and August open. I've been thinking that it would be good to do a date in BC to offset the Portland date a bit. The only way that would work is if we did Chilliwack in June and Portland/MACK in August. The reason being that the August Chilliwack dates are big National events which would be a bit crowded if we showed up. It looks like there are 2 august dates at MACK, does anyone know if one is a special event that we should potentially avoid?

For the moped racing we will not be able to race all those as point races. We opted for the aug 17th date. lets use that one.
This is the schedule we picked for the moped racing.
Practice/tune/track prep day March 9 th
Race 1 April 6-7
Race 2 May 4-5
Race 3 June 8-9
Race 4 June 22-23
Race 5 August 17-18
*optional Race 6* August 31-September 1 (weather permitting)

If you guys decide on 1 round in CA I will definitely make it there. It looks like there is no more ASRA this year, and I won't have any one to play with  . |

OK I'm going to make a final pass at this:

Race 1 Sunday April 28th The Ridge
Race 2 Sunday May 26th The Ridge
Race 3 Sunday June 23rd GMR
Race 4 Sunday July 14th The Ridge
Race 5 Sat - Sun August 17th-18th MACK
Race 6 Sunday September 1st The Ridge
Optional for fun:
Race 7 Weekend of 18th-20th October, Buttonwillow CA
The GMR/Chilliwack race is a bit of an issue only because both Angus and myself cannot make it. If there is someone in the area that wants to head this one up that would help out.
Also another reminder that we are going to try and have 2 points races per meet this year. We may still have heats if the race day schedules allow but if not we will score both rounds.
Someone second me on the schedule and I'll post it up to the website.

Hello, Amil here. Are there any Portlanders who would like to caravan up to the Ridge for the races on the 28th. Maybe leave a day early to get a track walk in, set up camp, relax, and have a beer. Last year we had a small caravan and it worked out well. We had a great spot in the pits and I felt I had time to get settled in. Anyway, I'll be driving up and have room for one more bike and another person. I am sleeping in my car so unless you want to cuddle whom ever rides with me may want to bring a tent and sleeping bag. So, anyone else planning on driving up and when?
