I remember not too long ago SIP offered a replacement caliper for the Grimeca aftermarket brake kits. Now that I'm setting one up myself, I no longer see the caliper on SIPs site.
The pistons on the Grimeca unit are pretty small, so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas?
Picked up a master cylinder and lever assembly today for a good price, and have a good quote on a line, but can't have it made until I'm certain of the fittings (have the caliper in hand)
I realize the mounting is not going to allow much variation so I'll probably end up using what's here.
SOOO... if anyone has a good pad to recommend that can take some track abuse, let me know.

That's what I was referring to. I wonder if there is any oem crossover as there is with so many other piaggio parts. There are a few 30mm calipers on ebay right now from other models, but I am having trouble finding the physical dimensions of any of them. Thanks, Mike

I'm not 100% sure but I think that any ET/Skipper/zip one will work. I'll measure my Skr one when I get back into town if that will help?
Cheers,

Here's what I know so far:
ET/skipper/mp3 of certain years all use the same front caliper. Late ETs use something completely different. None of these will fit on a Grimeca brake kit, unfortunately. The mounting holes are spaced differently - enough so that they won't just bolt on.
On the bright side, there are a few calipers available that will work with Grimeca classic brake kits. PX 98 use a 30mm caliper that bolts on, this is likely what I will go with. There is also a 25mm version and SIP's cool-looking 31.5 in three different colors. I think the SIP part is too nice for my crappy bike! So far, that's it.

I've got a couple new Grimeca 30mm calipers here (I use them on the PM Tuning fornt disc kits we sell). Saves you ordering from Germany.
I can get almost anything pretty quickly - the parts are constantly coming and going.
