I ride a very modified Genuine Buddy 125, and was curious what the rules say about running with the CVT cover off, and the belt exposed? I've had problems with glazing my clutch when I run it above 75MPH due to heat, and figure I could mitigate that by running without the cover.

I've no idea about autos TBH. If nothing is sticking out I can't see it being worse than a chain? I do no that no matter how fast your bike is it's not going to hit 75mph on any of the tracks we ride. ;D

Yeah! Race a Buddy! Race a buddy! Dayn has a good point - I would be pleasantly surprised if you got that much speed out of one of the tracks. I do see a lot of the European auto riders drilling lots of holes in their sidecovers, but they are (more importantly) leaving them on. I would choose to leave it on, personally. Too much of a liability for something to get in there and deuce your whole trans works or damage the stuff in a crash. Just my 2 cents. Race that sh*t! ;D ;D

I've been tinkering and building on it for quite a while now and figure it'd be fun to see how it does against other modified bikes since there isn't much stock that'll keep up with me anymore

This is the place to test it all out. It can sound a bit intimidating but once you go you realize that it's no big deal, really fun and likely addictive. There are plenty of people to help out and we all agree the more the merrier. So come on out and race that thing!
