The rules have been posted. Check them out here: pacificscooterracing.com/rulesDon't sweat it if are planning on coming out this weekend but you see something that causes you concern. Posting them this close to the race date we realize that some flexibility may be in order. We want people to come out so....come out and race! Cheers, Dayn

Patrick and I were discussing whether I would be allowed to race a smallframe motor modified to run a rotax cylinder.. (af1 polini water cooled barrel ) everything else will be smallframe parts, the crank cylinder etc. I think this might fit in the specials class, but the rules say it is up to the psra directors.. so anyone care to chime in?

My Vote is to let it run. Brian has demonstrated that fast bike is not the only thing required to win. It's not a trend that I personally want to see take over howver, that's why we have classes so if a bunch of people decide to go that route a class can always be created to accomodate it. The more bikes the better!
Cheers,
Dayn

I'm with Dayn. The "mod" classes are for modified scooters. When they stop being modified scooters and start being modified something else to look like a scooter then there might be a problem. We're all running some pretty crazy-ass cylinders so why not go balls deep. Besides, you're still restricted by those wimpy small frame clutches (oh dig, dig).

SO we had an Issue come up last year so while I am waiting to hear back about the final date of the schedule I might as well get the ball rolling on a couple of things.
1. Change the rule about 3 people needed to score points to whoever shows up and races gets their points. So one person shows up they get 25 points, 2 people show up they battle it our for 1st & 2nd etc. All points are counted.
2. This is a personal proposal so feel free to shoot it down. A rider may substitute an equal or lower spec. bike to score points in their main class of competition if their main race bike is broken during the race weekend. Basically it goes like this...I have 2 bikes at the track, one Supermod (ali) and one Mod (cast). If I break my Supermod in practice then I can race my mod bike in the Supermod class to salvage some points from the weekend. Other than this case, bikes will not be allowed to score points in separate classes as are the rules now.
Ok there it is. I think 1 is a no brainer but maybe 2 is a bad idea? Let me know.

I agree on 1. and 2.! What about motorcycle barrels and original stud-holes? BSSO and Euro-challenge (germany/austria/france...) are doin it that way! Guido

Thanks for you input Guido.
I guess I'm not sure what your question is? We have a general ban on the use of motorcycle parts like motors and cylinders....
