make sure the axles have the stock honda self locking nut on them.same for the engine bolt and motor mount bolt. if it has been changed then you need to get nylon lock nuts for them. the oil fill plug needs to be safety wire to 1 of the gear cover bolts. its so it doesnt some how come off.you will need to make or get a small catch can for the carb overflow hose. its to catch the fuel from spilling onto the track.if your swapping a disc brake front, you need to safety wire the banjo bolt, caliper bolts and tape the reservoir cap so brake fluid doesnt leak out if the bike fall or crashes. if your using the electric starter and yours has the kick start lever on the cover, that lever needs to come off or replaced with a aluminum one. the center stand also needs to come off. all the light can either come off or be taped up. no mirrors and you need barends on the handle bars.make sure the brake levers has the round ball at the end or rounded ends. no NOS,alcohol or nitro methane fuel addatives.I would recommend you get racing leathers. if not full motocross gear with the full upper body under armor is fine.your helmet needs to be snell m2000 or newer and get good leather gloves. the mx ones are no good for the road if you go down.mx or roadrace boots is what you need if not leather boots that covers the ankles.you can find used leathers and boots on craigslist for cheap. some used boots sell for as low as $25 and still in really good shape. leathers I have seen for about $100 and really good so keep your eyes open on craigslist for them. right about now till feb. people will be selling them as the season is over.
