So - this thing showed up today:  I had some initial buyers remorse about not springing for the 5 plate. I did some more reading & it sounds like a lot of it's ability to hold on may hinge on spring tension. It's been track tested on bikes that sound like they're putting out way more juice than me, so... yeah. Yes - I also noticed the anodized springs. I remember these from playing with XL2 clutches. My experience with these was that they got hot & started to give up their strength. They appear to be the same ones. Probably okay for street stuff, but not that great for what I wanna do. Which brings me to the same conclusion I arrived at with the XL2:  The smaller inner springs just barely fit. Kinda on the fence about that idea.  Also trying to figure out if the shim under my primary tree is going to help or hinder me - gotta split the case to install this thing anyway...

Nice! If you give me the diameter and the distance left once the clutch is fully compressed I should be able to find stronger springs.

They're xl2 springs. Exactly like what come in the kits - galvanized. I'll know more tomorrow...
