I bought a pair of tt 92's and some tubeless rims.
Ive been to three shops trying to get them fitted. One wouldn't try when he saw the groove depth. One gave up after an hour because they didnt want to scratch the rim too badly. The last destroyed rim and a tt92 trying a little to hard to get them on.
It's my opinion that they aren't worth the trouble, at least in this combination of sizes (90/90x10) the groove in the rim isn't really deep enough. Sip should offer them pre fitted. I do notice now that sip Just started offering rim protectors and tire iron kits? perhaps they have been getting a lot of complaints?
If anyone thinks they can have better luck getting them on you are welcome to try. Anybody else have success/failure with them?

You mean like this: ;D ;D ;D You gotta heat 'em up quite a bit first & use a healthy amount of Lube. I also have these plastic runner things that help not dingin' up 'em up too bad. But really - no bones about it - it's a fuckin task & a half. Having tire irons that work is also paramount. There's a lot of shite out there posing as tire irons. For those in the Seattle area, I know Big People has the hydraulic machine. Should be a cinch on that thing. My own machine operates on elbow grease & I personally don't enjoy the task at this point.

Ok, WTF?? Is there any upside to tubeless rims? All flash in the pan if you ask me. I like to know that I can swap a tube at the track if need be.
