New motor mounts from Clauss Studios. Softer durometer than the old ones. The rear one is a 3 piece affair. Pretty impressed with that. Went in nice & easy.

Interesting. I have the Clauss bushings in my 220cc engine and they are way harder than stock. Lots of vibration transfer into the frame. They don't look easy to install either. Butnut who did it obviously had a hard time and marred up the rubber on one side.
Hopefully they will make for less rear end shimmy in both our bikes. ;D

Ok Just so that everyone knows that I haven't been sitting on my ass all this time here is what I have been up to: SO you want a 38mm carb but all you have is a 36? Well just bore it out and add an electric powerjet controlled by the egt for good measure: I was also a bit sick of my seat so I mocked up a new one: And I'm just about finished with the plug to use for a fiberglass mold: Once the seat is done the whole thing is going to be painted...white..that is all. I also made some new pulleys so that I could have a speedometer and a quick action throttle and short shift gears. Should get round to machining my cases this week and I have one engine mount isolator finished (2nd should be done shortly) as I can't afford the fancy Clause ones that Patrick and Angus have. ;D In my spare time I've been converting an old pen plotter to a vinyl cutter so I should have some rad graphics to go with my shiny new paint

Nice work, welcome back. Here is what I know about carburetors; they mix air and gas. Looking forward to some trackside tutorials on how your EGT controlled power jet works. Hope the vinyl cutter works out. My old pen plotter would cut through paper with the .025 pen. Oh, one other thing...white?

What plotter did you have? White will match my other bike but if I get to vinly cutting there could be some exciting graphics involved ;D

Don't remember the make, it was like 10 years ago I got rid of it. It was a 36" wide 7 pen deal. It took up half my office.
I'd like to get some fancy vinyl decals from you but there's nothing left of my frame to stick anything to! Graphics definitely make for a faster bike though.

Nice, I knew they would be in soon. Only one glitch...I have a splined shaft (on my crank) and I don't think this one works with it. Is your crank the same? Did you get this Var and make it work?
If it does work i think i will hold off until i've figured out my f*#@ing jetting. Tuning this bitch is a nitemere. I have to drop the engine to get at the carb.
