46 days until practice day. Whats the status of your bike?
I believe I have all my necessary parts procured. The engine is removed and completely disassembled and more or less cleaned... now to port match and re-assemble. I will be running a new top end and carb, and hopefully have the suspension improved.... in theory at least.

Scooter is in pieces and the moped is a well formed idea. Plenty of time still.

The green smallie just needs the clutch put back in. It' s the old stand by.
The new smallframe race bike needs a lot still. Frame is painted. I did a lot of porting.. Jamie is finishing up my case welding, then they are off to Dan halls for some machining. Engine internals are on the way. still need to order the disc brake parts for my pk fork and some clutch parts and pipe from SIP. And some tires. and a front shock.
Motobecane frame is getting powdercoated tomorrow. The variator, clutch pulley and pipe are on the way from France. Mb5 disc fork is ready for assembly.
Maxi is ready for Emily. sRs' race bike is getting a new gearbox and quick action throttle. T-5 will be getting a once over for the stock class. (Don't know who will ride that one yet.) Both the mb5's are kitted and ready to go. I will probably ride one, my pal Abe is going to ride the other.

If I would quit screwing up the paint it would be mostly assembled by now! Orange peel from hell.
Engine is more or less done. Pipe is painted and ready but need to polish the reed block and spigot. Just got my 30mm grimeca caliper and a new 12.7mm master cylinder, plus hardware, just need the brake line made. Stoppies? Maybe.
Controls are done, but still have all the cables to make.
Still no seat. Found a guy in Vancouver who makes them... inquiring

Since my biggest problems were disintegration and a nearly unridable seating position, I'm concentrating on ergonomics and having the bike ready for a shakedown run more than 10 minutes before heading to the track. Patching up some holes. Paint by Rustoleum as I seem to have a need to throw it down once a day. Somewhat of a "run what ya brung" M.O. Can't afford the arms race that some of you guys are involved in.

Ugh! So close.. but so far away...
Over the last few days I have:
- Installed and bled front brake line - Reviewed and adjusted carb/jetting - Made and installed cables - Added a wire run for the kill switch - Made a bracket and mounted CDI, extended stator wiring to fit, repaired stator wiring - Fabbed seat base and back - Still need to:
- Install and adjust clutch - Paint tank and install new tap - Blend seat base angles and cover, install foam and fab mounting system - Fab paddock stand - Install pipe and header pipe - Oil in - Goat sacrifice and test fire

Have you got your 5 point harness system installed?
since I started this thread I have achieved some small victories. I have successfully changed out my motor mounts, port matched my cases. I hope to make significant headway on reassembling my cases tonight. there are plans in the works for fabbing an new reed block/cage for the bike.
I have also successfully installed a disk brake on my non-track bike. Does that count for anything? Kinda sucka working out of somebodies else's garage at times, but I am eternally gratefully for having said garage to work out of.

This week is the big parts delivery week. Smallframe: A big box came from SIP yesterday tons o smallframe clutches and clutch parts, a vsp race pipe, and one of the new SIP race shocks, as well as my parmakit intake manifold for the larger carb. My engine is mostly assembled, now I am just waiting on a kickstart gear, a clutch nut, a front shock and my disc brake setup. should be here later in the week.
On the Moby the engine is built up (new doppler endurance crank) and the frame has been mocked up with the mb5 front end. I am waiting for a race seat, doppler pipe and variator, mikitech clutch pulley, and I need to have a stainless brake hose made up. also have a mb5 swingarm coming, going to convert it so I can use the mb5 back wheel. Eric and Emily are designing some graphics for the bike and having them cut out of vinyl.
I hate waiting on parts!

I got my cases slapped together last weekend. All I have left is set timing, mount the carb and pipe, and put it back into the bike then dial in the carb. I hope to be rolling under power Saturday.
I have designed and fabbed a reed cage that should easily mount directly on the case, take a standard 4 pedal reed block, and polini manifold. Keeping fingers crossed it works, if not I go back to the stock LML 2 pedal reed block set up.

Panic setting in .... so much to do! Clutch is f-ed, seat is nowhere near done, selector slipping on the bar (dammit!), glorious paddock stand plans devolving into modified milk crate....
