I had a major step toward progress last night... after a couple months of diet and about 4 months of running, my leathers are finally starting to fit better.... I am down about 12 lbs, with a goal of another 18. This is a general life goal with added benefits in the racing world.

Both wheels on, sat on it for the first time ever last night. Even if it's not quite rideable yet, it felt great... except for the seat. That needs much work.
Front disk grabs like a vise, but not without a margin of modulation. Should be awesome.
Fixed the selector slippage by welding an anchor tab on the bars.
Now I just need the rest of the parts... grrrrrr -> US customs! It's just a tiny little bearing dammit. If any of you are waiting on Pat's last SIP order, sorry about the delay!

I rode under power last night.... but died shortly. I have a sneaking suspicion I am grossly rich, but hopefully that will get close to dialed in tonight. All that will remain will be safety wiring and a semi appropriate break in of the new rings.

Motor apart. All the way apart. Every single bearing in the bottom end was roached. Cylinder was initially looking good - could still see the cross hatching from the hone all the way round - until I found the spot where the ring was starting to carve it's own new port C'mon customs. Gimme my box! ;D

Motor is in since I took this. Just waiting on an remote master from mike and a seat from dayn. I still need to go shopping for leathers and armour as I tend to lay it down every weekend. glenn. Attachments:

Terrifying! But in a good way. Quite fast even with the jetting way off. Front wheel gets light in 2nd at half throttle when the pipe comes on, but not enough main jet to upshift or grab more gas. That's with a 190 main and 20 idle. Both need big steps up. Woohoo! Update: picture added

I fired it up Thursday, got the jetting in the ball park, and then due to a HUGE dumb ass move by my chief engineer (me) welded my kickstartgear to the cluster gear. In process of fixing that. Oops.

Good progress tonight in the Orphans garage. Got the moby wheel spaced out to line up the chain. (mb5 swingarm and wheel made that a challenge.) Just need to figure out the seat mount and get a pipe.
On the black smallframe I worked out a stem/bar situation that works well, got my disc brake hub installed, ran cables, and worked out the adapters to run the p length shock on the shorter pk setup. also got the tank prepped. Still looking for a rear hub. next I install the motor, gas tank and fab a seat. maybe I can ride it before the weekend is up.

DANG Mike! It's a shame you're gonna have to crash that thing. It's purdy.

Thanks! I'll try not to ruin it the first day. Crash on the left, pipe takes damage. Right side, carb is ruined. Hoping for right side if it happens! DANG Mike! It's a shame you're gonna have to crash that thing. It's purdy.

Seriously? Air leak (or possibly starvation)? Dammit
Had the whole thing apart over the weekend to reseal and fix a few other small issues, but not before running some full throttle tests. Can't wait to see how this compares to what the rest of you guys have been building. That is... if I can keep it from destroying itself! Fastest smallframe I've built to date. This would have given my TS1 a run for it's money.
Pat - Now I know what you mean by the carb being louder than the exhaust.
